| Natural dyes & yarns |
| I provide a range of naturally dyed yarn and thread for knitters, embroiderers, felt makers, paper makers, weavers and all textile artists. I also have a good knowledge of appropriate colours used throughout history and supply those involved in historic re-enactment from Anglo Saxon times through to the Victorian era.
All the dyes used are guaranteed to be from natural plant sources such as Madder, Indigo, Woad and Weld. Cochineal beetles are also used to produce vibrant pinks and reds.

| Historical Re-enactment |
My yarns and threads are suitable both for contemporary and traditional embroidery, knitting and textile art and as they are dyed with natural plant dyes all the colours blend in a very harmonious way.
Many people who take part in historical re-enactment use my yarns and come to me for advice on which colours are suitable for the period which they are re-enacting.
Using ancient recipes from as far afield as the Highlands of Scotland to the Far East and more modern recipes, some of which are my own, and the best natural yarns, I now invite you to share in the delights of the colours of nature. |
